Important scholarship deadline to apply for an Elks Most Valuable Student scholarship is November 12th. As previously mentioned, all high school seniors are eligible to apply. You do not have to be related to an Elk member. The NY State Scholarship is also due on November 12th. For this award, one must be affiliated with the Elks. Legacy Awards are available to college bound high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of dues paying Elks. The application deadline is Feb. 3, 2025. Visit enf.elks.org/leg for further details. Also available are Emergency Grants. These Educational Grants provide undergraduate college financial assistance to children of deceased or totally disabled Elks in the form of renewable, one year grants of up to $5,000. The grant is for educational assistance only and is not intended to cover the entire cost of a college education.
