Exalted Ruler Message September '23

Greetings fellow Elks members:

Thank you for your attendance at the family picnic, the food and company was awesome!  I would like to thank Justin Bonnett, Ryan Holthus, and Tanner McCreedy, for helping cut wood. Also, thank you Doc for showing up as usual to get make sure we got the meat seasoned, on the fire and then cutting it for us all to enjoy.  And I can't forget Jeremy Cranston for the  use of his equipment to dig the hole for the fire. I am sure I am forgetting many, but thank you to everyone that made the family picnic a success.  We celebrated our past secretary's 71st birthday with cake and song.  Happy Birthday Doug Alexander.

All of our members are very important.  However, if you have not paid your dues, please do so as soon as possible.  We have already paid for your dues in April at the state and national level.  So, your "reimbursement" is very important to us and is required for your participation in the golf outing on October 1st.

Golf registrations are due September 22nd, dues payment and registration fees would be very much appreciated at that time.  The catfish feed, Calcutta and game night is September 28th.  The Catfish feed is included with your registration.  Calcutta purchases will need to be paid separately that night from dues and registration.  So... if needed, please bring 3 checks or plenty of cash.  ðŸ˜‚  There will be prizes on some of the holes, yet to be determined.   We will keep you posted. Sign up at the lodge.

September brings back Pizza Night, Stagette and Wing Night.  Please watch the calendar and your emails for events.

September 7th is our VP visit with Doug Alexander on September 7th  We will also be installing 2 initiates.  Your presence is appreciated.

Moving to October....

Broasted chicken night will be moved to the 1st Saturday of each month starting in October.  Ryan Ford has scheduled a PER meeting for October 26th.  If you are a PER, please plan to attend. PER dues will be decided at this meeting.

If you are not receiving the emails, or newsletters, please reach out to Tammy at fairfieldelkssec@gmail.com.  If you have any complaints or suggestions for our lodge, please let us know.  Share this and all information with your fellow Elks and potential Elks.

Enjoy your labor day!

Fraternally,

Steve Winslow
