Potsdam Lodge Recognized with Community Awards
Potsdam Lodge #2074 was recently recognized by the Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence with a Community Spirit Award. The script on the award reads " In recognition of extraordinary commitment to providing community opportunities to people with disabilities". The Lodge has supported the Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence Autism Awareness walk since it's inception, partnered with the Potsdam Day Habilitation Program bottle redemption efforts and has provided sponsorship over the years for children to attend camp at Dodge Pond. Additionally the Lodge has supported the area and state Special Olympics programs with donations and volunteers. The Lodge has also supported the St. Lawrence County Law Enforcement Torch Run and Polar Plunge since their inception with donations and volunteer service. Lastly the Lodge has made substantial donations to the NYSEA Major Project and the CP of the North Country Polar Bear Golf Tournament. These combined efforts have benefited those with disabilities residing in the North Country. Additionally, the Lodge has been infored the selection committee of the PCS Athletic Hall of Fame has determined the Lodge will be inducted into the Class of 2023 for Outstanding Contributions tp PCS Athletics.
