2022-2023 Elks National Foundation Spotlight Grant of $2,000.00 (Awarded)
Port Huron Elks Lodge 343 has partnered with the Blue Water Community Food Depot serving St. Clair County over the last few years, with financial assistance (Grants) and food donations. Our Lodge 343 Past Exalted Rulers Association also donates "Baskets for the Needy" during the holiday season towards this organization. Our goal is and has been, to assist this completely voluntary organization reach their goals of providing food and hygiene products to anyone who comes to the facility looking for assistance. The Food Depot is open three days a week, year-round, for families in need. The "GOAL" is to serve the needs of our community and local families through the Blue Water Community Food Depot, while helping those less fortunate. Doing this, all while knowing they are receiving food, hygiene and household products required during times of hardship for them. Board Members and many Volunteers such as Pat Pozdrowski, Ann Mullins, Cindy Frantz, Debbie Martin, Janine Dionne, Joan Francis along with many other volunteers, are honorable and committed people, who have a great repour with the local community and many members of Elks Lodge 343 all while helping others. Lodge 343 has assisted this completely voluntary group in the past and once again gladly provide additional financial assistance through this 2022-2023 Elks National Foundation Spotlight Grant in the amount of $2,000.00.
