Sparks, NV Lodge No. 2397

The Sparks Elks Lodge #2397 has a rich history in the Sparks, Nevada community:

Sparks Elks Lodge #2397 is known as the "Railroad Lodge" due to its strong connection with the railroad industry in Sparks, Nevada. This nickname stems from the lodge's founding in 1968, when many of its original members were railroad workers.

The lodge's connection to the railroad reflects the broader history of Sparks itself. The city was established in the early 1900s as a railroad town when the Southern Pacific Railroad moved its operations from Wadsworth to the new location7. This move, which occurred around 1903, was part of a larger effort to improve the railroad's route along the Truckee River.

Today, Sparks Elks Lodge #2397 continues to honor its railroad heritage. The lodge is conveniently located just two blocks south of Interstate 80, making it easily accessible for travelers and maintaining its connection to transportation routes.

We would like to meet any of you passing through our area, you are invited to join us, check the calendar for Friday Night dinners.
