Akron, CO Lodge No. 2579 was instituted in 1978, and currently has 106 members.For the year 2024, the lodge was awarded BEACON and GRATITUDE Grants from the Elks National Foundation to assist in the development of programs serving local youth, veterans, and others in need.The lodge is the proud sponsor of Jack Willeke, a winner of the MVS Scholarship 2023.

The lodge meets Thursdays, except Jul, then 1st Thursday; and in Aug then last Thursday only, at 181 Ash, Ave, Akron, Co.The Exalted Ruler of the Lodge is Jack Crumley, and the Secretary is Bailey Dreher.
