Lexington, MO Lodge No. 0749

Welcome to the Historic Lexington Elks Lodge #749!

We meet at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month—except December, when we meet only on the 2nd Tuesday.

Friday nights are dinner nights around here, and you’ll find some of the best home-cooked meals in all of Lafayette County.

Stop by, say hello, and get to know a great group of people. We’d love to have you join us!

Built circa 1846, our building originally housed the Fifth Branch Bank, making it one of Lexington, Missouri’s oldest buildings still in active use. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks established Lodge #749 in 1901, and the Lexington Elks moved into this historic Main Street structure in 1904, where the lodge has remained ever since.

Throughout its long history, Lodge #749 has played a meaningful role in the life of the community. For more than a century, the Lexington Elks have supported local youth programs, public-safety efforts, holiday meals, scholarships, and countless charitable initiatives. A major part of our mission has always been service to veterans—from providing meals and holiday support to organizing donation drives, visiting hospitalized veterans, and partnering with Missouri Elks veterans programs to ensure that those who served are never forgotten. This commitment continues today through year-round outreach and hands-on assistance for veterans and their families.

The lodge has also been a social center for generations. In addition to our historic meeting rooms, the property features a swimming pool that has long been a summertime gathering place for families and members.

Today, the Lexington Elks continue the traditions of charity, fellowship, patriotism, and community service that have defined Lodge #749 since the early 1900s—honoring our past while building a strong future for Lexington.
