Mount Vernon, OH Lodge No. 140 was instituted in 1890, and currently has 493 members.For the year 2024, the lodge was awarded GRATITUDE and BEACON Grants from the Elks National Foundation to assist in the development of programs serving local youth, veterans, and others in need.The lodge is the proud sponsor of Nathaniel (Nathan) Streby and Olivia Wiley, winners of the MVS Scholarship 2023.

The lodge meets 1st & 3rd Tuesdays, except July, Aug & Dec, then 1st Tuesday only, at 32 Public Square, Mt Vernon, OH.The Exalted Ruler of the Lodge is Steve Dick, and the Secretary is Keith Acker.
