Wednesday, October 16th, two new citizens were honored with a certificate and flag for their efforts in becoming a citizen of the United States. Here are some pictures from the fashion show put on by Patchington of Marco Saturday, October 5, 2019. The store is donating 10% of all sales to the Lodge and provided food and drinks for all the ladies attending. Anna Marie Honan helped organize the event and her, Kathie Coste, Liz Serrano, Judy Romero and Diane Williams were the models for the day.
On March 16, 2019, scholarship awards of $4000 ($1000 yearly) were given to the two highest students who submitted an application through Naples Lodge #2010 for the Elks Most Valuable Student. Pictured below from left to right are David Woodworth, ENF Scholarship Chairman, Roina Simon of Palmetto High School, Hailey Mathieu of Gulf Coast High School and Ray Honan, PER who evaluated applications. Their applications are now forwarded for further evaluation and perhaps additional awards. Both students are entering college with the goal of becoming doctors. Good luck from us all.
Pictured in the top photo is the first place winner of this years Americanism Essay Contest for Division l ( 5th & 6th graders). The title of the essay was “What Makes You Proud of America". The first place winner, in the center, is Kennedi Seeber from St Ann’s Catholic School and she received a $100 prize from the Naples Elks Lodge #2010. Pictured with Kennedi on the left is Anna Marie Honan, Lodge Americanism Chair and on the right is Assistant Principal Mrs. Rebecca Meinert. Pictured in bottom photo is the first place winner of Division ll, 7th & 8th graders, also from St Ann’s is Karola Scancella. She also was awarded $100 from the Lodge and is pictured left to right with Mrs. Gina Groch, Principal, Anna Marie Honan, Lodge Americanism Chair, Karola Scancella, and Mrs. Rebecca Meinert, Asst.
