Red Cross blood drive sets new record

The Aug. 8 Red Cross blood drive at the T & B Celebration Center, co-sponsored by the Daughters of Isabella, was a huge success as donors rolled up their sleeves for 201 pints. This surpasses our old record set last year of 192 pints.
It was a long day for the second shift of volunteers, and the Red Cross is extremely grateful for their support.
A huge Elks “thank you” goes out to D of I volunteers Leona Turcotte, Irene Sylvain, Vonnie Read, Diane Cullington and Mary Ann Schaefer; and Elks volunteers Betsy Bourdeau, Grace Lommel, Bobbi Alley, Art Morse, Richard Corson, Jack Dionne, Connie Abbot and Bev Wyman.
