The Hoop Shoot went very well once again this 2009-2010 year. Thanks to the Elk helpers. Nancy Kirkwood, Carrol McCune, Corwin Day, Gary Lawrence, Mike Little, Jim Reed, Sherm Hurst, Larry and Candy Mercer, Dorin Matney, Leanna Ellis, Shorty Burdsall, Doc Miller, Chuck Darger, ER Dave Wood and anyone else I failed to mention. The schools are always a great help, St. Mary's, Nancy Payton, Summitville, Christian Fox and Alexandria Intermediate, Laura Badger. The girls winners were: age 8-9, Mary Kait Sayre-Alexandria, age 10-11, Lauren McGuire-Summitville, age 12-13, Paxon Quinn-Alexandria. The boy winners were: age 8-9, Boston Owens, age 10-11, Avery Paddok, age 12-13, Braden Warren, all from Alexandria. Winners advance to New Castle Field House January 10th, doors open at noon and competition is at 1:00. Good luck to all those who are competing.
