Americanism Essay, Soccer Shoot and Italiano Winners for 906!

The Americanism Essay Contest sponsored by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America has come to a close in Santa Monica. This year's theme was "". Eligible participants must have been students enrolled in the 5th, 6th 7th or 8th grade at the time of the contest.The essay length was not to exceed 250 wordsand entries were to be submitted for judging to the Elks Lodge nearest to the address of the entrant.

The winners were given U.S. Savings Bonds and Certificates in the Lodge on Feb. 23, 2007 by Americanism Chairman Ray Beers, PER.

Along with the Americanism awards, Loyal Knight Frank Frazier gave out the trophy for our soccer shoot recipient. Leading Knight R.A. Pickett and Peter Italiano presented Robbie Robinson with the Frank J. Italiano Americanism Award for 2006.
