Rochester PER wins State 11 O'Clock Toast Contest



Gerald Skidds, Jr, Rochester Elks #1393 - Kelly Dorgan Cote, Nashua Elks #720


 


The annual NH State Elks Ritual Committee 11 O’Clock Toast Contest was conducted at the Concord-Epsom, NH Elks Lodge #1210 on Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at 10 am. Contestants must recite the Elks 11 O’Clock Toast from memory and are judged on word accuracy, pronunciation and impressiveness of delivery. The 11 O’Clock toast is a tribute to our departed members and is normally performed at Lodge gatherings and social events at the hour of 11 PM.


Gerald Skidds, Jr. of the Rochester, NH Elks Lodge #1393 won the Past Exalted Ruler category with a score of 92.6560. He bested four other entrants in his category.Kelly Dorgan Cote of the Nashua Elks Lodge #720 won the Exalted Ruler Category and also had the high score of the day. She will compete in the National 11 O’Clock Toast Contest on July 6th, 2020 in Baltimore Maryland.

Runner Up :       Brian Dailey, Dover Elks Lodge #184                   -     Score 88.3593
