Lodge supports Voices for Children.

On March 27, 2019, Richard Grosnick and Paula Pombier from Inverness Elks Lodge #2522 presented $1,000 to Sue Carpenter from Voices for Children, a not-for-profit 5019(c)(3) created to help meet the unique and often critical financial needs of the children assigned to the Guardian ad Litem Program. Due to the generosity of our community, Voices has been able to provide shoes, clothing, prom tickets, scouting and cheerleading uniforms and fees, and funds for class trips and proms to children placed in the custody of the state of Florida who have a court appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL). Locally, there are more than 2,100 children involved with area dependency courts and, in the 5th Circuit, there are approximately 600 GALs.
