Drug Take Back
On April 28th the DEA National Drug Takeback was held in the CHI parking lot. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means for disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. In the span of 4 hours there were nearly 165 vehicles that came through to properly dispose of their unwanted and old medications. Collected were 19 box's of medications totalling 392.5 pounds. The Kearney Elks lodge #984 truly enjoy assisting the sheriff's deptment in this yearly event. Pictured are Diane Kelly, Bill Seebring & Doug Lund, all lodge 984 members.
