Southampton Elks presented three scholarship awards to local students

Three local college bound students were awarded scholarships by and through Southampton Elks Lodge at a presentation made at the lodge's annual Flag Day Service on June 11th.  The awards were announced and presented by Past Exalted Ruler Jack Capute who is chairman of the lodge's Scholarship Committee.

Marie Luca from Southampton High School was not able to personally attend due to a conflict, but it was announced that she was awarded an Elks 2017 National Foundation scholarship, which will be awarded over the course of four years.

The lodge's John Aluskewicz Memorial Scholarship, named for a late member whose wife Susan donated to our fund in his memory, was awarded to Ella Parker, who attended Pierson High School.

The lodge's Joseph Ciochetti Memorial scholarship, in honor of a late member who left a significant bequest to our lodge, was awarded to Siobhan Merrill, who attended Bishop McGann Mercy High School.

We wish the winners continued success in their educational endeavors.
