Scholarship Time is Here

There are 4 Elks scholarship applications available.

Please encourage all eligable students you know to apply. Information is available at the lodge,Penn Yan Academy, or Dundee schoolthe first week in October. There are many changes this year,please read carefully!

Most Valuable Student Scholarship Contest:

This scholarship is open to all high school seniors. The application is on- line at (enf.elks.org/mvs.)

The application is completed on line,and must be submitted online by November 30,2016. This procedure is new.Please follow directions carefully!

New York State Awards:

This scholarship is open to any/stepson and daughter,of an Elk in good standing,who is a high school senior student.There are several changes in the application process this year.The student must apply for the Most Valuable Student Scholarship as described above.The student must then do a second application for most Valuable Student and print that form.A cover letter must be attached. It is available in the Lodge or on line at( nyselks.org) under Scholarships- Academics. It is labeled as part the cover letter for seniors. This 2 part application must be returned to the parents lodge by November 30,2016

Legacy Awards:

Thes scolarship is open to the child or grandchild of a living Elk who is current member. This submitted on line on or before February 3,2017 at (enf.elks.org/leg) the local Lodge is not involved in this scholarship.

Emergency Grants:

This grant is available to students whose parent was an Elk in good standing at the time he or she became disabled or died. Please contact Carleen Wilson for information.

The changes made by the National Elks Organization have been made applying for some of the scholarships more difficult, please contact Carleen Wilson at 315-531-8169,if you have any questions.Please encourage students to apply as soon as possible so that if problems arise, we have time to address them.
