Pocomoke City, MD Lodge News

ER Message

February is a busy month for Elks all across this great nation of ours. We continue to provide the necessary work for our lodge and to provide the necessary needed funds for our local community.

This month is also election month for all Elks across this great nation of ours. We may not agree on a lot of things that may take place within our lodge, with who has been elected as officers, appointed officers, house, chair persons, decisions that are made or many other aspects of our organization. What I will ask or challenge you is that no matter who has been elected or appointed, to please provide them with your utmost support. They have important roles to fill. They are all volunteers, that have lives outside of this organization. I will also encourage you to remember we all have important roles to fulfil within this great American organization.

I have included our Elks Mission Statement as this month’s guide to promote the goodwill of Elks.

Mission Statement

To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God: to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Elks Care and Elks Share.
