The Elks Ladies Klub

Comprised of members, wives, and widows of Elk members – the Elks Ladies Klub is involved in assisting the Lodge in a number of activities.  The Elks Ladies Klub cooks dinners for the Lodge, assists with committees, and are very active in Lodge Charities.

The Splashing Elks

The Splashing Elks are a casual group, primarily interested in the preservation of our swimming pool, deck, and patio area located behind the Elks Lodge building.  Splashers cook and serve a Friday night dinner, the 1st Friday of every month. In addition we host an annual Garage Sale in June, and Tiki Time Party fundraising event poolside, each summer - traditionally one of the biggest lodge events for raising money for outside charities

Pool Players

Our Lodge has six high quality, well maintained pool tables. Currently about fifty lodge members are avid players and our skill levels range from beginners to those who are excellent players.

We have one team that plays in the BCA 3-man city league and another team that plays in the BCA 5-man city league.  We also have an in-house, eight team league every Thursday night.  Each of these teams has a balanced range of players and a good time is had by all.

The Pool Players host our “famous” Spaghetti Dinner on the 3rd Friday of each month. Volunteers to help prepare and serve are always welcome to join in the fun.

For more information please contact:  Norm Aug at 719 244-6171

Dart Players

The Roaming Elks is a local Camping club for the members of Elks Lodge #309.  The club is now over 70 members and club members range from tent campers to very large Class A motor homes, some don’t have an RV and stay in the cabins found at most of the camp grounds.  Our main objective will out and about is the have a relaxing and fun weekend.  Come out and Check us out, meetings are the first Monday of each month, except December, and the campouts normally are scheduled for the 3rd weekend of each month.  We look forward to seeing you…

Hoop Shoot

Is a FREE Free-Throw Program for Youth Ages 8-13 that is sponsored by the Elks National Foundation Drug Awareness Group. The event begins at a local level and progresses to a National competition. The Hoop Shoot is free to all participants and provides youth an opportunity to compete, connect and succeed.  Competition starts here in Colorado Springs in the month of January normally held on a Sunday morning.   Keep your eyes open for announcements in the Bugle newsletter and also for posters within the lodge beginning in early winter.

Veterans Affairs

We are committed to serving the disadvantaged men & women of the U.S. Armed Forces.  We serve all heroes that we can find. Right now we are working with the residents of the Bruce McCandless State Veterans Home.  We hold fund raising activities in support of those veterans.  The Korean War veterans meet here for lunch at 11:30 on the thrid Saturday of each month.
