Golf 2019

40th Annual Fletcher/Falcone Charity Golf Tournament 

Purpose: This tournament is our major fundraiser for the youth charities that support college scholarships, Camp Barrett (a camp for deserving and underprivileged boys and girls), Boy and Girl Scouts, Elk Drug Awareness Program, various donations to local charities like the Carroll Food Sunday, Dove House, Shepherds Staff, and our annual Hoop Shoot contest. Over the last ten years we have donated in excess of $338,000 on these programs. Last year we raised over $34,000 and this year we have set the goal at $40,000 

Event: June 24th, 8 am Shotgun start at Quail Valley Golf Club, Littlestown Pa. $110 a person includes coffee, donuts, hot dog, beverages on the course and lunch back at the lodge. Fee also includes participation in all par three events. http://www.quailvalleygc.com/

Some of the Programs receiving funding from the event: (list is not all inclusive)

            Live, Hope, Laugh – is dedicated to improve the lives of chronically ill children and teens through various designated programs set-up through the organization and implemented throughout the year. These programs are designed to reach out to the families and bring hope and laughter back into the children’s lives. Currently they are supporting 23 families in Carroll County being supported by this program.

            Carroll County Food Sunday – is a non-profit group of volunteers supporting Carroll County residents in meeting their emergency and supplemental food needs. They distribute a weekly, nutritionally balanced grocery package meant to last 3 – 4 days. Over 400 families a week are served.

            Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County – a non-profit organization providing free counseling and other support services to victims of sexual violence and their families. In 2013, they worked with over 1,200 individuals and their families.

            The Shepherd’s Staff – reaches out and supports those people and families in crisis, aid those in need and to seek out and encourage pathways to self-sufficiency.

            Kids in Safety Seats Program, Carroll County Health Dept. – this program purchases new child restraints for the residents of Carroll County and loans them to financially in need and at risk-families.

            Camp C.O.P.S (Courage to be Outstanding with Pride and Self confidence) – is designed to bring a better understanding of Law Enforcement to the youth of Carroll County, while working in the atmosphere of a police academy. The event is held at the Carroll County Farm Museum and is open to all children ages 10 – 14. Topics include Team Building, Gun Safety, DUI activity, Drug Talk, First Aid/CPR and Bomb Squad Robot demo to name a few.
