Beverly/Peabody Elks 1309 Local Scholarship:

These scholarships are awarded to any senior that is planning to attend a four year college, full time, to pursue their educational goals. Applications will be made available at high schools within the Beverly/Peabody Elks Communities. Applications can also be picked up at the Beverly/Peabody Lodge #1309, 39 Bow Street, Beverly. They are available from January 1st and are due on April 1st. Elks National Foundation (ENF) Most Valuable Student Award (MVS):

The ENF awards competitive four year scholarships. Applicants DO NOT have to be related to an Elks member. Applications will be judged on scholarship, leadership and financial need. This award is available for any high school senior who is a U.S. Citizen and is planning to attend a four year college on a full-time basis.   Information is displayed on the Lodge bulletin board and is also disseminated at the high schools within the Beverly/Peabody Lodge Communities. The MVS Scholarship Award application is available, applied for and submitted online at elks.org/scholars/scholarships/MVS.cfm , starting in August and the deadline is in November. Massachusetts Elk’s Vocational Grant:

The Vocational Grant is available for those applying full time to a non-bachelor's degree/vocational program.  There is NO AGE LIMIT, however students MUST BE US Citizens.  Applications for this scholarship are available online at MAELKS.org/scholarships. This scholarship is for a one year period, but can be reapplied for the second year.  Please contact Katie Duggan, Beverly/Peabody Elks Lodge 1309 Scholarship Chairperson at katieduggan@verizon.net for any further information.

Massachusetts Elk Scholarship, Inc.:

 Scholarship assistance is available for any student who is planning to attend or who is attending a four year college, on a full time basis, in pursuit of their Bachelors Degree. Applications (new or renewal) are available at MAELKS.org/scholarships. This scholarship is renewable every year, for four years.  However, these MUST BE applied for each year, as renewals are not automatic.  Print out and complete the entire application, instructions 1-5.  Please return to Katie Duggan, Beverly/Peabody Elks Lodge #1309 Scholarship Chairperson, 39 Bow Street Beverly, MA. 01915, for endorsement by February 1, 2005. She will submit these applications by March 1, 2005.

ENF Legacy Awards:

This award is for college-bound high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of a member who has been an Elk for two years and is in good standing. The applicant must be a high school senior who plans on attending college full time. Applications and details are available online starting September and is applied for online at elks.org/scholars/scholarships/legacy.cfm . Information also is available on the Lodge bulletin board with dates and details. Information is also disseminated to the high schools that are in the Beverly/Peabody #1309 Communities. Emergency Education Grants:

The EEG provides college financial assistance to the children of deceased or totally disabled Elks, who wish to further their college education on a full time (12 credits) basis.
