Just checking in and feeling right at home seeing new and familiar faces. Wishing you all glad tidings and best wishes in your endeavors. And thanking you for all the support we have received over the years. I moved to SC two years ago, and just recently sent a quick note of introduction to Lodge #858. There truly is a lodge and feeling of friends and family, wherever we may roam.

May God bless you all.

With kindest regards,

Judy

from Prescott, AZ, Lodge #330

Greetings from Prescott Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, are located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. Check out our elks.org page. We have a very content rich elks.org site. Featured pages are [Facilites], [Officers], [Elks'n the News], [Extra Pages](includes rich history of our lodge) and especially our [Photo Gallery]. If you have time after looking it over please sign our [Guest Book]. Thank you

from Bayonne, NJ, Lodge #434

Just writing a hello, from a brother Elk from Bayonne NJ. I called your lodge today as a brother Elk, looking for help for my brother in laws who live on Staten Island, and their mother (my mother in law) passed away November 30th. The wake will be held at Harmon Home 571 Forest Avenue SINY, tomorrow from 2pm til 4pm, then from 7pm til 9pm. Mass Monday morning, then burial at Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island. I unfortunetely will not be attending, as my wife and myself have been separated now for 16 months. I am only trying to find out, being my brother in laws live in the mothers home, to try and get them some help with food. They have a sister who lives on Fillmore Street, West Brighton, where the food can also be delivered to, in case the brothers are not home. Please email me, or contact me by my cell phone number who I gave to one of the Sister Elks, who was at your lodge at 2:45pm Saturday, who took the information from me. Thank you brother and sister Elks!!!

WHAT IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO ??????? I CHECKED IT ON SNOPES & IT SAYS: TRUE !

This should make your blood boil...it DOES mine!

ABC NEWS BANS FLAG LAPEL PINS!

YESTERDAY THE BRASS AT ABC NEWS ISSUED ORDERS FORBIDDING REPORTERS TO WEAR LAPEL PIN AMERICAN FLAGS OR OTHER PATRIOTIC INSIGNIA. THEIR REASONING WAS THAT ABC SHOULD REMAIN NEUTRAL ABOUT 'CAUSES'.

SINCE WHEN IS SUP P ORT FOR PREVENTING DEATH AND DESTRUCTION SOME SORT OF A 'CAUSE'? SINCE WHEN IS PATRIOTISM TO BE DISCOURAGED?

I URGE YOU TO BOYCOTT ABC AND ITS SPONSORS AND AFFILIATES. WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING EVERYTHING OUR COUNTRY STANDS FOR AND EVERYTHING OUR MEN AND WOMEN FOUGHT AND DIED TO PRESERVE!

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO AS MANY AS YOU CAN. THIS HAS BEEN VERIFIED THROUGH: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/noflags.asp

CityLegacy.com is a web site for people who have something to say about the history and culture of the city of New York. Vist our Staten Island forum http://citylegacy.com//forums/forumdisplay.php?f=8, where you'll find discussion groups for every neighborhood in SI. Or, if you have a story or photo you'd like to share, send it to our Your Legacy department and we'll publish it. Examples of what we're seeking can be found here: http://www.citylegacy.com/diary/diary.htm.

This is not a commercial web site. We simply want to build a community.
