Happy New Year! and thank you all very much for the very generous Christmas boxes of food and the turkey! This was shared with four families and a wonderful dinner it was!

Just a P.S....I recently went to Burroughs High 60th Anniversary Reunion in Ridgecrest CA where a special gathering of the 1950's graduates celebrated at the Ridgecrest 1913 Elks Lodge where my father, Paul P. Mitchell, Sr. was Exalted Ruler in 1958 and came up through all the chairs. It was great to see my daddy's picture on the wall. Many of my friends spent many hours as the "official servers and cleanup crew" of the dinner events held there from 1954-1958 and there were several of us at the reunion.

Thanks again!

Ramsey R. Arnold (ramcrafty@cox.net)

from San Diego, CA, Lodge #168

Dear Elk Lodge 2698,

I really enjoy visiting your Lodge. I have been living in Lakeside, on Riverside Dr., since April, 2002 and I am a member of Lodge 168, San Diego, which has become more difficult for me to enjoy, since I moved to Lakeside.

Please inform me of the procedure to become a member of Lodge 2698 by transfer.

I am looking forward to future membership at your Lodge, where the members and staff are so friendly and "my kind of people".

I know I can make a valuable contribution to Lodge 2698, should I be accepted for membership, by transfer. My areas of interest include Boy Scouts, over 30 years computer systems design and programming, camping, motorcycling, sailing, piano playing, and providing volunteer effort in any area of the Lodge the leadership deems needed.

I hope to receive a reply soon, so we can facilitate my transfer in an expeditious manner.

Yours Truly,

Your Fellow Elk,

Ramsey R. Arnold Member, Lodge 168 ramcrafty@cox.net 11949 Riverside Dr., #110 Lakeside, CA 92040 (619) 390-9279
