from Prescott, AZ, Lodge #330

Greetings from Prescott, AZ Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. Check out our elks.org page and sign our Guest Book.

I am lookng forward in spending the next 2 months with my fellow Elks in SSF. I have shattered my entire left Ulna and elbow, needing complete replacement, and 2 1/2 months later have surgery scheduled 11/7/11 in SF, the only hospital that can accept my complicated surgery. Thanks to your Exalted ruler Fred for his compassion and help in allowing us to visit for sometime (in our RV) during my surgery and recovery.

Noel Hayes (noelsblues@msn.com)

from South San Francisco, CA, Lodge #2091

I was voted Elk of the Month in November 1996. I was chosen as Elk of the Year in 2000-2001. I was President of Lodge #2091 in 2001-2002. I helped organize many great events for the Elks charities and made many friends at my time with the Elks Organization. I was famous for my Black Fedora, and traveled to many Lodges across the country with my famous black hat. Many people across the country collected my black hat pin from my time as President. I had many San Francisco Bay Area Blues bands at the Lodge in my many years of activities there. I enjoyed bringing these great Musicians to the Lodge and sharing their great talents with the many appreciative members of the Lodge. It sad for me to say that many of the ones who entertained during my time their have passed on. I hope that all who enjoyed the years of my envolvement of the Lodge may read this and contact me for my new adventures in life. There is life within the Elks Organization and a greater life after it.
