James, good job on the site. We will surpass our last years ability to rent our facility because of this exposure. do you update the calendar or is that Carol. some updates are needed about the Elk of the year/Sweethearts ball. great job on maintaining this with your narrow window of time. I will have some more wedding photos/ rental gatherings to add to the photos. 2016 will be a great year for our lodge!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Waikiki Elks Lodge during my sister's wedding week @ Diamond Head. The food was incredible, as well as the Mai Tais. Great location and I strongly urge 1968 members to check it out when in the islands.

Greetings from Prescott, AZ Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. Geri Greer (elks@1968.sdcoxmail.com)

Dear Mr. Morrow, may I call you Tom? I hope so. I am Geri Greer, North County Singles Club, Membership Chairman and Newsletter Editor--among other things. I organized our group from the Singles Club (for Seniors 55 and older) attending the Sweetheart Ball at the Vista Elks Lodge this past Friday night. I want to tell you how very much all of our people enjoyed the delightful sounds of your Big Band orchestra, The Oceanside Society Orchestra. One gentleman came to me and said, "Now that's really ballroom dancing!" It would be so great if more and more of our younger generation could hear and dance to this kind of music. And even if you weren't dancing, the listening is absolutely wonderful. Many of our folks came up to me exclaiming how great it was and how much they were enjoying themselves and wow, we should really do this more often. Our NC Singles Club has been attending the Friday night dinner dances at the Vista Elks Lodge for a great number of years. This is such a fine group of people. They have graciously made us, the Club members, feel so welcome as their guests. They have created a very friendly atmosphere and we are truly grateful to have such a nice place to -enjoy our friendship and love for dancing. And now I must say a huge thank you to you and your band members too, for providing such a wonderfully pleasant evening. Here's to GOOD music----that sounds like music!

Myra, I am still trying to figure this site out, You know how much extra time I have, lolol. Jay, I'm sorry I haven't been to this site in a while and missed your messages. I am hoping to get a volunteer to take this site over and maintain it. At any rate, I trust you found our lodge to be a friendly one and hope to see you come back soon! Lyle
