from Prescott, AZ, Lodge #330

Greetings from Prescott Lodge #330 "Mother Lodge of Arizona". In December of 1895 a group of enterprising businessmen in Prescott, sturdy products of the early west, charted the original petition for a dispensation and later established the Prescott Lodge. Prescott and Prescott Valley, Arizona, are located about 90 miles northwest of Phoenix. With our mile high elevation (5230 ft), the cities enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. Check out our elks.org page. We have a very content rich elks.org site. Featured pages are [Facilites], [Officers], [Elks'n the News], [Extra Pages](includes rich history of our lodge) and especially our [Photo Gallery]. If you have time after looking it over please sign our [Guest Book]. Thank you

Thomas G. Paterson (paterson@mind.net)

Dear Seaside Elks Members and Officers: My Dad (Thomas Paterson, Jr.), before he died in 1997, said that he had played saxophone and trumpet at Seaside Elks Club dances, in the late 1940s to 1954. Does anyone remember him or Wendell Wilson (piano) who played with him? Does the lodge have any "calenders of events" or dance announcements that mention my father or Wilson, and which I could have copied for my family's history?

Also, in what year would those dances have started? And at which address? Someone mentioned a place called "The Lodge" in Seaside for that period? Is that a different place from yours? Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Tom Paterson, Ashland, OR

from Newport, OR, Lodge #2105

Hello Seaside Lodge & Happy Holidays!

I also wanted to return Jan Jackson's compliment of our Newport Lodge #2105 Web page that was relayed to me by Newport P.E.R. Lanny Schulz. Seaside's web page is fantastic!

I was the bulletin editor for many years for Newport and decided to step down but agreed to do the web stuff. Its fun! I must admit though, I wish I could get our lodge to send me digital pic's by email or other means to provide more character on our site.

Keep up the great work!
