It was great to see someone step in to so the 11 o'clock toast. the exalted ruler had spent most of his day there mopping floors and cleaning but he was proud to see that one of his officers stepped up to the plate and did it for him. Nice we have some of our new members that will be initiated Tuesday step up to the plate.

On a recent flight north to Alaska to visit his daughter, our longtime member Roy Paul was honored as a WW2 veteran. The stewardess noticed that Roy was wearing a cap that said he is a WW2 Veteran. She had the captain announce that. Someone in first class heard the announcement and insisted that Roy trade seats and take his first class seat. That random act of kindness was to thank Roy for his service and helping preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

To Exalted Ruler Rudy,

Thanks so much for the tour of your lodge during our CNHSAEC State Visitation last weekend - you have a fantastic "place" to offer the membership and along with all of the friendship - you have a winning combination.

The members of San Fernando Emblem Club members #37 had a wonderful meeting as their State Visitation - their hors d'oeuvres prior to the meeting were outstanding.

Best wishes to President Gloria Grant and her corp of officers for a wonderful year - Sharing Emblem - One Page at a Time.

Sincerely,

Nancy Pierce-Rogowski State President California, Nevada, Hawaii State Association of Emblem Clubs

DAVE: You have started a great job. I have enjoyed reading some of the messages left by other members of the lodge as well as those that have visited our beautiful lodge. Even though I am a member of Santa Clarita Lodge my heart is in San Fernando where my husband currently is the DDGER for the year 2008-2009. That you to everyone that has supported him throughout the years as he has made his way up the ladder.

Being a member of the San Fernando Elks Lodge for 30 years is most rewarding, and to be able to offer my wood working services to members is an honor. Having my wife Barbara join our Elks Lodge last June is truly gratifying.
