Raised on the calcium-lit floors of the stage, Antonio "tony" Pastor would go on to become the "Father of Vaudeville" and, more importantly, a founding member of what was to become the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. A man who truly embodied the virtue of charity, Pastor helped build the foundation for the greatest fraternal organization in the world. To this day he is not forgotten.
In 1932, for the first time in Olympic history, the Winter Games were hosted by the United States at Lake Placid. Underdogs from the outset, American athletes were about to surprise the world.
