Akron, CO Lodge No. 2579 was instituted in 1978, and currently has 103 members.For the year 2026, the lodge was awarded BEACON Grants from the Elks National Foundation to assist in the development of programs serving local youth, veterans, and others in need.The lodge is the proud sponsor of Anderson Filla, a winner of the MVS Scholarship 2025.The lodge meets 1st & 3rd Thursdays, except Jul & Aug, then on the 1st Thursday only, at 181 Ash, Ave, Akron, Co.The Exalted Ruler of the Lodge is James Jacobson, and the Secretary is Nancy Tramp-Maggard.
