Community Investment grant

The Elk City Elks Lodge #2343 received a $3,500 grant from the Elk National Foundation Community Investments Program.
$1,750.00 was donated to the Saint Matthew Food Pantry and $1,750.00 to Bucks Lodge Youth and Family Programs.
St. Matthew Food Pantry has been serving the people of western Oklahoma for over 25 years by providing much needed help with groceries, as well as helping pay bills and other expenses, for those less fortunate. They also help travelers in need passing through our area. Last month, the Food Pantry served 568 families, with 888 adults and 340 children. This food pantry is solely financed by donations.

Bucks Lodge Youth and Family Services currently have five (5) programs helping the community.
RISE Program/Bucks Lodge Lunch Café; The Elk City Teen Court Program, Youth & Family Life Skills Classes, Family Counseling and the Community Garden
Accepting the check for the Bucks Lodge Youth and Family Services was Cheryl Megli, director with Marjean Greenway as Program Coordinator and Roger Moyer LPC.
