On December 4, 2025, the Tucson AZ Street Rod Association (TSRA) held its annual meeting at Tucson Lodge #385. As part of the event agenda, they collected various men's and women's clothing items, including 203 pairs of socks, 66 undergarments, and 20 new T-shirts, amounting to approximately $800. On November 18th, 2025 Tucson AZ Lodge #385 Treasurer/PER Diane Gnuschke, dropped off a donation of ten baby gift bags stuffed with baby care items and handmade receiving blankets and bibs for expecting Southern AZ Health Care System, at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Tucson AZ Elks Lodge held the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11th, 2025. Honoring all Veterans and our Veteran members in attendance below are L-R: T. Madden, D. Gnuschke, J. On November 1, 2025, The Tucson Elks Lodge 385 held the Lodge Soccer Shoot at Doolen Middle School in Tucson AZ . Twenty - five children participated in the U-10, U-12, U-14 divisions. Five winners will be promoted to the South District Soccer Shoot in January 2026. The event was made possible with the assistance of the Remote Salt Lake (RSL) youth soccer organization. On November 6, 2025, the Tucson Az Southern Arizona Hot Rod Association donated various items such as food, clothing to Tucson AZ Lodge #385 and being sent to the Veterans located at the Tucson AZ Veterans, Fisher, Esperanza homes and VA homeless. Total donations were approximately $2,400.00. On October 25th, 2025 Tucson Elks Lodge #385 held the annual Lodge Charity Ball (Masquerade them) which was a great time and success. James and Vicki won the best costume. Tri-tip and chicken was on the menu and cooked on the Lodge grill.

October 10, 2025, Tucson AZ Elks Lodge #385 held its 1st Responders Appreciation Recognition Dinner. Eleven 1st responder's from local 911 dispatch, Pima County Sheriff's, Tucson Police, AZ Department of Public Safety and the University of Arizona and firefighters from Golder Ranch, Northwest, Tucson Fire and Drexel Heights Fire District and their guests were honored with dinner and awardee's received a Certificate of Appreciation and gift card from Elks Lodge #385. On August 27, 2025, the Tucson AZ Elks #385 Lodge dropped off over $2k worth of donations for the Homeless Veteran Program at the Tucson VA. Thanks to all of our Volunteer’s, we are able to do it!

On May 4, 2025, Tucson Elks Lodge #385 hosted its annual Youth Event/Scholarship and Strings program. Approximately 90 attendees saw 10 students from Southern Arizona receive a total of $16,000 in scholarships—$8,000 from the Lodge and $8,000 from the Arizona Elks Association. The funds supported local high school seniors pursuing higher education. PER/Trustee/Scholarship Chair Wayne Burns with scholarship winners.  



On May 4, 2025, Tucson Elks Lodge #385 hosted its annual Youth Event/Scholarship and Strings program. Approximately 90 attendees saw 10 students from Southern Arizona receive a total of $16,000 in scholarships—$8,000 from the Lodge and $8,000 from the Arizona Elks Association. The funds supported local high school seniors pursuing higher education. In addition, Tucson Elks Lodge #385 awarded 4 violins to local high school musicians active in the local high school music program and chosen by their perspective music directors.  Trustee/PER/Scholarship Chair Wayne Burns with violin winners.

On March 29, 2025, 17 Elk members and 8 volunteers from Tucson AZ #385 took 25 young students with four teachers from Nash Elementary School on a shopping spree to JC Penny’s. Back at the Lodge, volunteers prepared lunch to welcome these young students! Two 6-year-old little girls lead the Pledge of Allegiance flag. The Easter Bunny handed out backpacks full of school supplies, coloring books, sketch pad, crayons and color pencils; they also received handmade pillowcases with pillows, Easter Baskets full of small toys, a toothbrush/toothpaste, Easter candy, & a stuffed animal. Each child was fitted with a helmet and received a bicycle from the Lodge #385 “Bike-in-Box’ program. We also celebrated a 7-year-old’s Birthday. Personal thanks to each Tucson Elks Lodge #385 member and Volunteer! I greatly appreciate all the donations, Charity groups, Clubs and organizations that made another event so successful!! Tucson AZ Elks Lodge #385 Hoop Shooter Rene Cortez shot 24 out of 25 to win the 12-13 boys State Hoop Shoot. He will recently participated in the AZ State Hoop Shoot contest in Apache Junction AZ. He also won the Bugs Lewis award for best score in the state competition. Rene is pictured with Rich Botkin, Past AZ State President/South District Leader, AZ State Hoop Shoot Chair Gregg Boyce (left) and other AZ State Hoop shoot representatives. Now Rene is off to the regionals in Las Vegas NV on February 22, 2025. Let's all wish Rene happy hoop shooting.
