Elk of the Month Ronna Mason As we start our new Elk year, it pleases me to recognize Ronna Mason as Elk of the Month. The word no and it can’t be done is not in her vocabulary. Ronna has been our Lodge Photographer for 4 years and coordinates the articles and pictures for our monthly bulletin. In this position, she insurers we have coverage in the local newspapers and the Elks magazine, coordinating with Vern our Publicity Chairperson. Check out our hallway each month – Ronna has an interesting write –up of Elks and spouses in her “Let’s Get to Know You.” Over the years, she strives to make our Lodge look better - new plants in the front drive area, refurbished the chairs on the front porch, curtains to cover the bingo signs and a new electric sign to announce special events (which she is looking for a volunteer to help maintain) in our hallway. Ronna is Chairperson for the Activities Committee and is proud to announce that her committee has been together for 2 years and will remain intact this year with 3 more volunteers. Ronna brought “Road Kill” to the Lodge which has proven to be a fun time once a month and brings in revenue and keeps everyone updated with a calendar she publishes. Ronna also has worked the 4th Friday of the month buffet dinner for 5 years. A working mom, raising 3 children she retired in 1999 from Hunter Douglas Window Covering. Ronna is proud that all 3 children, Kim, Donnie, and Pam graduated from Florida State University. Ronna and Jim have 6 grandchildren and she is an avid golfer. Offer Ronna your congratulations.
