Tucson Elks Lodge 385 golfers attended the Major Projects fund raiser at Oro Valley Country Club on Monday August 23rd. Left to Right: Mike Lessley, Katrina Sharp, Chris Dimit, Jim Sanford, Greg Price, Katie Murdoch Executive Director AEA Major Projects, Deanna McKinney, Wayne Burns, Bob Holyoak, Wayne Thompson, Jerry Ford, Gary Turner, Sheri Turner. Wayne Thompson’s team won first place shooting 62 and Jim Sanford’s team won 2nd place shooting 63. Katina Sharp won closest to the pin on hole 17 with a 9 ft 8 in shot from the pin. The Tucson golfers contributed $675.00 to Major Projects. Thank you to Catalina Lodge 2815 for sponsoring the golf tournament.

Our lodge’s Crafty Critters weekly-group members donated nearly 43 pillowcases they made to the Children's Steele Center of Tucson on July 2. Elks Lodge # 385 member Wayne Thompson represented us at the Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with his own solemn ceremony honoring our fallen heroes this past Memorial Day. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Marana Veterans group did not have their annual ceremony at the cemetery. We thank Wayne and salute all fallen servicemembers.



Girl Scout Troup #460 assisted in Flag Day Ceremony June 11, 2021 and received a donation of $500.00 from PER M. Lopez for their help.

Tucson Lodge 385 members have collected forty eight new books for K - 6 grade patients at the Steele Children Research Center. In addition, sixty four $10.00 gift cards were also donated. These items will be delivered to the Arizona Elks Association State Convention on May 14th. On May 2, 2021, Youth week, AEA South District Scholarship chair (left) R. Campbell presented to 7 of Tucson Lodge #385 and 7 additional scholarship for $7,000. Center Scholarship recipient, ER W. Burns



For Youth week, Tucson Elks Lodge #385 on behalf of Harry's Violins program, donated 4 violins (approximately $2,000) to local senior high school musicians from Flowing Wells and Oro Valley High Schools.

Tucson Elks Lodge #385 members donated several children holiday gifts to Southern AZ Family Involvement Center, a non-profit organization which assist local Tucson families in need.
