Tucson Elks Lodge 385 golfers attended the Major Projects fund raiser at Oro Valley Country Club on Monday August 23rd. Wayne Thompson’s team won first place shooting 62 and Jim Sanford’s team won 2nd place shooting 63. Katina Sharp won closest to the pin on hole 17 with a 9 ft 8 in shot from the pin. Elks Lodge # 385 member Wayne Thompson represented us at the Marana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, with his own solemn ceremony honoring our fallen heroes this past Memorial Day. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Marana Veterans group did not have their annual ceremony at the cemetery. We thank Wayne and salute all fallen servicemembers.
Tucson Lodge 385 members have collected forty eight new books for K - 6 grade patients at the Steele Children Research Center. In addition, sixty four $10.00 gift cards were also donated. These items will be delivered to the Arizona Elks Association State Convention on May 14th.
