On March 29, 2025, 17 Elk members and 8 volunteers from Tucson AZ #385 took 25 young students with four teachers from Nash Elementary School on a shopping spree to JC Penny’s. Back at the Lodge, volunteers prepared lunch to welcome these young students! Two 6-year-old little girls lead the Pledge of Allegiance flag. The Easter Bunny handed out backpacks full of school supplies, coloring books, sketch pad, crayons and color pencils; they also received handmade pillowcases with pillows, Easter Baskets full of small toys, a toothbrush/toothpaste, Easter candy, & a stuffed animal. Each child was fitted with a helmet and received a bicycle from the Lodge #385 “Bike-in-Box’ program. We also celebrated a 7-year-old’s Birthday.
