First, I would like to thank Laura Merenda for the time she served as the House Committee Chairperson. Her contributions to the House Committee and to our Lodge have been and will always be greatly appreciated. I wish the very best to her, and her father during this troubling time.
With that said, I would like to thank our most Exalted Ruler, Dean Yeager, for offering me the opportunity to serve as the House Committee Chairman in Laura's stead. I would also like to thank the members, and auxiliary of the the House Committee who continues to put forth so much time and energy volunteering their time for the good of the Lodge. I would be totally remiss in not thanking both Cheryl and Bonnie too. Without their support and dedication, it would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible to provide the level of services that is desired to our Lodge Officers, Trustees, and Members.
THe next few months I would ask for your patience during this period of transition. I would appreciate suggestions as well as anyone who would like to volunteer their time with some of the upcoming events being planned over the next several months. Unfortunately, this past Saturday John D has sorrowfully expressed that he will no longer be able to provide Karaoke to the Lodge as previously scheduled. We are currentlu looking for replacements for this function and will keep everyone posted ith updates. Keep your eyes on the calkendar, folks !! to see what we will be offering this fall and winter.
I am looking forward to the State President's Visit on August 4th, 2007. All members are invited to attend the dinner and dance. Please come and show your support for TOm Pokkard with this visitation. Advanced tickets are $12.50 per person. Deadline is July 31st,2007. A limited number of tickets may be purchased at the door for $15.00. Cocktails at 5:30. Dinner served at 6:30pm.
