Largo Elks Lodge 5th Annual Bartender Blind Auction Had Record Breaking Turnout and Record Breaking Proceeds!


Largo Lodge, #2159,
held their 5th Annual Bartender Blind Auction on Saturday,
10/15/2022 with a record breaking member turnout and record breaking proceeds.


The Auction began with Officer Quattlebaum playing a short video about the
Senior Program with examples of how the senior program works.


Officer Bowling
explained how the Lodge had helped with bike locks for the kids at the library.


Marcia presented Officer Quattlebaum with a check from the Beacon Grant.


Jeanne
Reinhart, PDD, Lodge Advisor and our grant writer has successfully applied for
the Beacon Grant for the past six (6) years with the last several years going
to the Largo Police Seniors Program and the Grant was $4,000!


After the Grant Check Presentation, a $20 challenge jar started that quickly went to $477.

Then the
auction got down to serious business.

There were lots of great “blind” gifts along with
items open for regular bid. A weekend beach rental, a Jack Daniels Collectors
Bottle, Navy Seal memorabilia, and a Challenge Coin were some of the items.

By
the end of the night, the auction alone totaled $5,692! Add that to the Beacon
Grant and the Lodge raised $9,692!
