Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 Donates Dictionaries to 4th Grade Students
In November, 2022, the Santa Barbara Elks Lodge #613 delivered a total of 515 high quality Merriam-Webster Children's Dictionaries to 4th grade students at the 9 Elementary Schools in the Goleta Union School District. The dictionaries are intended to be kept at students' homes as an educational resource. Funds for the project included a $3,550 Grant from the City of Goleta and a donation of $6,450 in net proceeds from the Santa Barbara Elks Lodge weekly Bingo events.
