Hello my fellow Elks brothers and sisters,
I hope everyone has had a great summer so far and plans to
take advantage of the amazing weather we are having before old man winter bites
us in the butt.
I do want to take some time to inform you all that we have
made some changes in the kitchen. You will be seeing some of your old-time
favorite people in the kitchen cooking and ensuring that you get a great meal. The
same cooks that do shrimp feed, wing night, wild game feed, etc. They do an amazing job to ensure you have a
good quality meal. We have also
purchased a chicken broaster and plan to get that up and running this
fall. We have some great ideas that I am
sure you will all love, so please come up and have a meal, enjoy a beverage,
and enjoy some fellowship with fellow ELKs.
We would love to hear your ideas and feedback.
We will be initiating new members on September 15th.
Come up and welcome our new members and show them what Elkdom is all about.
Please keep Grand Exalted Ruler, Bruce A. Hidley in your
thoughts and prayers as he has suffered a cerebral accident. He is home from the hospital and recovering.
We have decided to cancel the picnic for this year as there
as so many activities going on that are bringing our lodge brothers and sisters
together keeping everyone busy. It is a
good busy, for the good of the order and I could not be prouder of all of the
ELK’s that are really contributing so much.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Come join us at one or more of the many events coming up.
Some upcoming events to keep an eye out for are the Iowa
Cubs game and picnic (tickets still available, call or text 319-931-7745) on
September 17th, Wing night is back on September 21st, Darryl
& Darryl’s Thirsty Thursday Game Night and Calcutta on September 22nd,
and the golf tournament September 25th.
Fraternally
yours,
Ryan Ford, Exalted Ruler
