Our wonderful lodge was chartered on July 12, 1900 at the G.A.R. building.

Its very first lodge was build and dedicated January 1, 1918, and still stands to this day at the corner of 1st and Locust St. across from the courthouse. At the time it was told to be the finest lodge building in the state.

In the early years of 1900, our lodge was 500 members strong, with the Grand Island population at 10,000.
