  • VETERAN'S PARTY

    DATE: Saturday November 10th. TIME: cocktails 5:30-6:30pm dinner 6:30 pm entertainment 8:00 pm COST: $20/PERSON or $35/couple. After Nov. 1st $20/person, $40/couple Sign up sheet is the lounge. Raffle tickets are available to purchase. All proceeds for this event will go towards our veterans.

  • LODGE HOOP SHOOT CONTEST

    The lodge's Hoop Shoot contest is scheduled for Saturday November 3rd. LOCATION: Plainfield Central High School field house, TIME: Registration 11am-12pm Contest starts at 12pm. The contest is open to boys and girls ages 8-13. Birth certificate is required for verification of age.   • CCC CLINIC

    The next scheduled Children's Care Corp. Orthopedic Clinic in Joliet is scheduled for Tuesday November 6, 2018 from 4:00-5:30 pm. The clinic will be held at Hinsdale Orthopedic, 951 Essington Rd. in Joliet and is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please call 1-800-272-0074 between the hours of 9am and 4pm Mon.-Fri. This clinic is sponsored by the Illinois Elks Children's Care Corp. and Joliet Elks Lodge 296.

  • FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS

    Friday night dinners will return to the lodge starting on October 5th. Time: 4:30-7:30 pm and carry outs are available. Dinners will be once a month until the start of the Lent season then they will be weekly. Menu information is available in the Elk Call, or you can click on the calendar tab on this web page.

  • QUEEN OF HEARTS STARTS SEPTEMBER 6TH.

    Tickets are available at the lodge during hours of operation AND ARE AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING AND THEIR SPOUSES/SIGNIFICANT OTHERS AND NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC.MEMBERSHIP CARDS WILL BE CHECKED THE NIGHTS OF THE DRAWINGS AND ONLY THE LODGE SECRETARY CAN VOUCH FOR THE IDENITY OF THE MEMBER IF NO MEMBERSHIP CARD IS PRESENTED. The drawings will be held every Thursday at 7:30 pm and members have till 7:15pm of those evenings to purchase tickets. For all rules regarding this even please reference your monthly lodge newsletter.   • REINSTATEMENT AMNESTY PERIOD

    During the months of September and October, past members that have dropped or taken a demit may reinstate at a reduced rate of only $1.00 PLUS pro-rated dues. Reinstatement applications are available at the lodge. Any questions, contact the Lodge at either 815-744-3355 or www.elks296@att.net

  • WILL COUNTY HOMELESS SHELTER SUMMIT.

    On August 17, 2018 the lodge will be partnering with The Will County Center for Community Concerns to be hosting a Homeless Shelter Summit from 9am-4pm. This event will address the issues of homelessness in the community especially as it pertains to teenagers.

  • 2019 LEGACY AWARDS

    Legacy awards are scholarships for children and grandchildren ( great grand children are not eligible) of Elk members who will be a high school senior. There will be 300 awards for the 2019 contest. The contest will open on September 1, 2018 and the deadline for applications is February 1, 2019 at 11:59am central time. The elk member must have joined the order on or before April 1, 2016 or be a charter member of a lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2016. The ELK member must also be a paid up member through March 31,2019. Applications are available at www.enf.elks.org/legacyscholarship.org

  • 2019 MOST VALUABLE STUDENT CONTEST

    The 2019 Most Valuable Student Contest will begin on August 15, 2018 and the deadline to submit applications will be November 15, 2018. The contest is open to any high school senior who is an U.S. citizen. A total of 500 (250-male, 250-female) four year scholarships ranging from 4,000-50,000 will be awarded. Scholarships will be available at www.enf.elks.org/mvs. For more information regarding the scholarship, including the rules in detail, please visit www.elks.org/scholars.

    THE NEXT CCC CLINIC IN JOLIET IS SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY AUGUST 7TH FROM 4:00-5:30PM. THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD AT HINSDALE ORTHOPEDIC, 951 ESSINGTON RD. IN JOLIET UNDER THE DIRECTION OF DR. BRADLEY DWORSKY. THIS CLINIC IS FOR CHILDREN AGES 0-21 YEARS OLD AND IS SPONSORED BY THE ILLINOIS ELKS CHILDRENS CARE CORP. AND JOLIET ELKS LODGE #296.   • LIFE LINE SCREENING

  • HAMBURGER NIGHT & FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS

    Starting in June and for the summer the lodge will be cancelling Hamburger/Spaghetti night and Friday night dinners. They will start back up on September 13th.

  • RELAY FOR LIFE - JUNE 2,2018

    The Joliet Area Relay for Life will be held on Saturday June 2 from noon till midnight at Joliet Memorial Stadium. Come on out and take some "steps" around the track, or bring a lawn chair and visit for a while and check out the lodges tent. We will be serving Italian beef sandwiches and chips as well as having raffles with all monies raised going to help support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

  • VANESSA FLORES - SUMMER SERVICE TRIP

    Vanessa Flores whose 2017 MVS scholarship is sponsored by Joliet Lodge No. 296 will be attending the Elks Scholar Summer Service Trip taking place June 26-July 2, 2018. Vanessa and other Elk scholars will be in San Antonio working with various service organizations in the area. On behalf of Joliet Elks Lodge No. 296 we send Vanessa well wishes as she embarks on this experience.

  • 2018 PT/OT SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

    Congratulations to Klarissa Aldridge, Oliva Perozzi and Alyssa Callans receiptients of the 2018 PT/OT Scholarships provided by the Children's Care Corp. All three students are sponsored by Joliet #296

    IN RECOGNITION OF THE ELKS YOUTH ACTIVITY WEEK THE LODGE WILL BE HAVING A YOUTH ACTIVITY DAY ON SUNDAY MAY 6TH. WE WILL BE HAVING HOTDOGS, CHIPS, GAMES FOR THE CHILDREN AND A DJ. THE FUN STARTS AT 12PM. PLEASE CONTACT THE LODGE TO SIGN UP.
