ENVSC in Minneapolis

Will you be in Minneapolis for the Elks National Convention this July? If so, please join us at these Veterans Service events!

Saturday, July 2
8:30 AM – 4:30 PM: State Veterans Chairs are invited to a full-day training. Once your own State Veterans Chair returns from this, they’ll be unstoppable!

Sunday, July 3
12-2:00 PM: Join us at the Convention Center for the ENVSC seminar “Serving Today’s Veterans: How your Lodge can be a Resource for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans.”

A lot has changed since Vietnam Veterans came home. Learn about what's different and what has stayed the same as we review some of the top issues affecting Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans, and how your Lodge can help veterans of all eras. This event takes place in Convention Center Room 101G.
Come early to see our National Veteran Service Volunteer of the Year receive his award!

Sunday, July 3
4:00 PM: Don’t miss the ENVSC Annual Report at the Opening Ceremonies on Sunday! This takes place in Convention Center Hall C2.

Anytime during Convention
Visit the brand-new Elks National Veterans Service Commission booth!

• Write your name on our Wall of Service, and pick up your “I’m a Veteran” or "I volunteer for Veterans" ribbon.
• Chat with ENVSC staff about Welcome Home Kits, and learn how you can sign up to help hospitalized veterans through the Voluntary Service Program.
• Catch up with Veterans Leather Program Vice-Chair Chuck Mudge, who will be sharing his expertise and selling leather gloves for $25.
• Meet Chip Purkey from Help Heal Veterans, who will be available to answer any questions about ordering free craft kits for veterans.
• Buy an ENVSC t-shirt to support our Elks Emergency Assistance Fund.
