The Alaska State Elks Lodges send almost 200 girls and boys, ages 9 to 13, through one week summer camps every year, since 1991. Every Elks Lodge in Alaska can send disadvantaged boys and girls to the camp. This camp and transportation to and from the camp is free to the boys and girls. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe Alaskan camping experience while sharing the values of pride in America and community support.
We know today's youth are tomorrow's leaders. We hope this camp positively influences one or two of our future leaders. We believe the youth in our communities need and deserve to make new friends while exploring the beauty of Alaska. Once the campers arrive, they're assigned to a cabin and Youth Counselor based on their current age. This helps make it easier for the campers to start making new friends as soon as they arrive. The campers enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, swimming, canoeing, arts and craft projects, and practicing skits for Parents Night.
Parents are invited to visit on the Friday night before the campers leave. This is an opportunity for parents to meet their children's new friends, view the camp facilities first hand, have a meal with the campers, and enjoy watching the skits the campers worked on all week.

Our campers tell us every year how much fun they have because of our outstanding Youth Counselors.
We rent the camp at reasonable rates for family reunions, ATV Adventures, meetings and conferences, week-long retreats, and other special interest organizations. Full catering is available upon request. These rentals help make the Alaska State Elks Youth Camps possible. We have a new Camp Facility Brochure for our camp. Please review the rest of our web site to see what we can offer you.
