Carson City Elks Lodge #2177 raises over $9,000 for Night Off The Streets, Inc

Ticket sales and all proceeds from the silent
auction and raffle garnered $7411 for the event. This was augmented by a Community investment
Program grant from the State and National Elks Foundation of $1548. A local Elk donated an additional $52 to
round the grant up to an even $1600. Total raised was $9011. Night Off The Streets, Inc. has run a warming
center from November 1st through March 31st since 2017. Its
main purpose is to prevent the unhoused suffering from exposure during our
harsh winters. In addition, the NOTS volunteers work to direct this
population, many of whom are veterans, toward other Carson City services that
can aid them in getting off the streets.
