Welcome All:
The Grand Lodge Convention is now complete and Elks across the nation are moving forward with projects and activities to help their fellow man, community, state association and lodge these trying times.
We hope that COVID-19 is coming to a close, but with new variants we must continue to be vigilant to the dangers it can post. The message from the Grand Exalted Ruler T. Keith Mills is “” Meeting the Challenge”. Are we as members willing to step forward to meet these challenges or are we content to sit back and let someone else dictate our road to the future?
As a lodge we need you, the members, to step up. We need your ideas, your voice, your input and your assistance. The Elks National Foundation has grant but we need your input as to what activities, charities and people need the assistance. We need you to attend meetings so we can hear you and support your ideas.
As I visited with Exalted Rulers from numerous states and lodges, I find we are all battling the same issues. I call on you as Elks to be heard and be seen. In Junes as an incentive, we passed a motion to reward member attending four meetings with a free drink. To date only a few are on track to earn that incentive.
I look forward to seeing many more at our meetings and hearing your thoughts and ideas.
