AMERICANISM ESSAY CONTEST 2024
Every year the Elks holds this contest to help instill a sense of Americanism and patriotism in our youth. The subjects have varied considerably over the years.
We award trophies at the lodge level for first, second and third place.
At the state and national level plaques are awarded for first, second and third place as well as Kindles.
We held a dinner for the winners at the local level on March 12 at the lodge. Winners were presented with trophies and a poster providing the history of the US Flag.
The top three lodge winners are advanced to the district level for judging at that level. Those winners are advanced to the state level for judging at that level. State winners are advanced to the national level for judging at that level.
