Alton Leroy (Bud) Englebretson, July 9, 1945 - April 28, 2013 Alton was a loving husband of 47 years and 3 months. He graduated Tuttle High School in 1963. He met Mary Jane in May of 1964 and they were married January 28, 1966. He graduated with his Bachelor's of Science Degree May of 1972 and earned his Master's in 1985 and much more. Bud retired from the Army National Guard as LT. Col. where he spent time at the Pentagon and he then went to work for the State of Oklahoma Military Department. Bud was passionate about helping those in need through the Elks in Midwest City. He held the title of Past District Deputy Grand, Exalted Ruler and Vice President for the Southwest Region. He spent his mornings at Daylight Donuts with close friends to make important decisions. Always quick to make a joke, he always smiled. Bud is survived by Mary Jane of the home, three daughters, four grandsons, one granddaughter. A special nephew Joe, who shared their home, a daughter by choice Christy, 2 step-grandsons they had for a while, brothers Delbert and wife Pat, and Eldon Englebretson and wife Effie, Cousins in Texas and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. There are far too many to mention by name, but know this, he loved you all. Preceded in death by parents Oliver and Alice Englebretson, brother George Englebretson, and sister Maxine Utt.



Joyce Jan Williams was born in Red Cloud, Nebraska, February 12, 1933. She was the only daughter of Mayree (Hudson) and Howard B. Kaley. She departed this life on April 30, 2013 at Midwest City, Oklahoma. She received for formal education attending the Red Cloud public schools and Stephens College in Missouri. Howard Kaley and Jan were noted horse exhibitors, attended parades, horse shows and Jan was considered one of the states' most accomplished professional jumpers, having jumped at the Kansas City Royals and the San Francisco Cow Palace. She held numerous winning ribbons from surrounding states. Jan was also invited to try out for the Olympics. Her folks, however, believed that Italy was too far from home. Jan was always seeking new adventures in testing limitations. Her motto was "I'll try everything once." She held the family parachute bailout record of 14, 520 feet, which will probably not be challenged and stand for some time. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother lovingly referred to as "Grammy." She and her husband, Larry, were married at Red Cloud, Nebraska in 1952 and served together in the United States Air Force for 30 years, traveling to many parts of the world. During this time Jan, besides mothering five children, was also an office manager for an audit agency. The past thirty years found Jan and Larry operating a fine jewelry business and traveling in many states. Their many friends considered them the mom and pop of their trade. Their home has been in Oklahoma City since 1974. Preceding her in death were her parents and two children, an infant daughter, Laurie, and Timothy, who was twelve. Surviving are her beloved husband of 60 years, Larry D. William from Canova, South Dakota; children Jeffrey Kaley Williams and wife Leean of Texas, Kristie Ann McGuire and husband Kevin of Colorado, and Jerry Jay Williams of Colorado; 5 granddaughters Kaley Lynn Young of Texas, Lindsey Marie Brown and husband Spencer of Colorado, Stephane Ann Young of Georgia, Kelsey Ann Chilcoat and husband Jace of Oklahoma and Juliana MacKay Kaley Williams of Texas. Greatly missed by all her family and friends over the United States, she will always be in our hearts. Memorial services were held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Interment of cremains will be held Saturday, 1:30 p.m., June 29, 2013 at the Red Cloud Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Boggs officiating.

March 21, 1937 - November 28, 2013 MIDWEST CITY John Davis Martindale was born to Curtis and Amy Ruth Martindale on March 21, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013, in Midwest City, OK, after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. John graduated from Classen High School in 1955. John kept in touch with his classmates and continued to serve on the Board of Directors of the Classen High School Alumni Association. During John's career as a wholesale representative with Bridgestone/Firestone Tires covering parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri, John met and kept in touch with many friends and acquaintances. John was a very active member at the Midwest City Elk's Lodge where he served as the Exalted Ruler from 2001-2003 and continued serving as a trustee. Additionally, he hosted karaoke at the Elk's Lodge, was an avid square dancer, bowler, and enjoyed many vacations with his special friend, Delores Chambers, whom he met in 2008. John will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness, kindness, love of Western movies (especially "Shane"), Country singers George Strait and Willie Nelson, and as one of the loudest Oklahoma Sooner football fans while in the stands or watching on TV. If you ever heard a big "WOOHOO" at the stadium you could almost bet it was John. John lived a very active life and always could make a friend out of a complete stranger. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 16 years Lois (2007) and his brother William (2009). He is survived by his two sons: John Davis Martindale, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK and Jeffery Martindale of Redondo Beach, California; his sister: Ruth Ann and husband Dr. W. Stephen Gunter of Durham, North Carolina; sister-in-law: Patty Martindale of Piedmont, OK; two stepsons: Terry and wife Marta Head of Choctaw, OK and Larry and wife Angie Head of Choctaw, OK. He will also be fondly remembered by his 6 grandsons: T.J., Christopher, Zachary, Tyler, J.R., and Matthew along with his 4 great grandsons and also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., in the Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service, 315 S. Sooner Road, Midwest City, OK.



Oct. 20, 1933 - April 7, 2014 MIDWEST CITY Wallace Reid Davis, born on October 20, 1933, went to his Lord on Monday, April 7, 2014 after a long illness at the VA Center in Norman, OK. Wallace retired after 22 years of service from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sargent. He has three children with four grandchildren. His extended family included three daughters, two grandchildren, with a newly born great-grandchild that brought a smile to his face. Instead of flowers, please consider contributions to the India Shrine Children's Fund. Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Chapel at 500 SW 104, Oklahoma City, OK. -

Raymond “Ramon” Valdez, 74, went to be with his Lord on October 4, 2014 surrounded by family. Raymond was born to Joe and Eufemia Valdez on June 14, 1940 (Flag Day) in El Campo, Texas. Raymond retired from the USAF after 26 years of proudly serving his Country in the continental US and abroad which included Vietnam. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. After leaving the military he went into Civil Service and retired from Tinker Air Force Base. Raymond is survived by the love of his life Judy, two daughters, one grandson and one great grandchild; his brother Joe Valdez (Margo), sisters Corina Crockett, Linda Rivera (Junior) and Becky Sanchez; many treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he considered his extended family. He will be remembered for his patriotism and willingness to help others in need. Raymond served his community proudly being a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39 – MWC, Midwest City Lions Club, Midwest City Elks Lodge #1890, Life Member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 9969 – Del City, La Societe de 40 et 8, RSVP of Oklahoma City, American Legion, National Order of Trench Rats and numerous other organizations. His cherished memories were of his fishing trips with his buddies of the MWC ELKS and Lions Club to Lake Texoma and Lake Eufaula. He enjoyed many years at Draper Lake where he had docked his pontoon boat. Oh, the stories Raymond would tell of the good times he had there with all his friends on Dock 1. Raymond enjoyed his travels around the globe while serving with the Air Force. He was an avid fan of OU football, loved to play darts and pool whenever he had the chance and loved to dance. His passion was for his fellow veterans and watching old westerns on the weekend. He has spent the last 25 years, in one capacity or another, raising funds for the Elks monthly Bingo games at the Norman Veteran’s Center. With his independent spirit and sense of humor, he enriched the lives of those around him. Raymond will be missed by all who knew him. Celebration of Life Services will be held at the Midwest City Elks Lodge # 1890 located at 8635 SE 15th Street, Midwest City, OK 73110 on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Services will begin at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers please make contributions in honor of Raymond to the Midwest City Elks Lodge #1890. Designate that funds be used for the Veterans Committee which Raymond held the title of Veteran’s Committee Chairman.
