I have spoken to a contact at the State Capital and have been advised the Memorial project proposed by Elks Lodge 521 has been approved by voice vote in the House on April 9 th.
The next step is the concurrence of both houses and My contact advises I will be notified of the last step when it happens by telephone.
What few dealings I have had with the House and Senate require much patience, sometimes more than I can muster.I want to apologies to all of you and ask for your understanding, but the importance of this project to Veterans, Our Lodge and our Community will be justified by the wait.
I hope all of you will take pride in what will have been accomplished.
