Exalted Ruler Letter:
DO NOT forget that we need your email address to send you the Tale or you can visit our web-site.
To the Members,
Not much has changed since my last letter. We did have the Children's Golf Outing and raised about $3800.00. This was short of what we did last year, just not enough players. So I am asking that you all jump in with a donation for this cause. Remember that even a $10.00 donation will add up to helping one more child. Last year 2100 children did not have a Christmas and this year will be even more with the floods we had.
The restaurant is doing great, everyone who visits has nothing but good to say about the service and the food.
We now have the whole lodge set up for wireless internet, so you can bring your group for business meetings with modern technology. We have had a fire in the fire pit every Saturday since it's completion and we have marshmallows behind the bar for the kids or kids at heart. Last I am setting up a sanctioned adies of the Elks, so any one who is interested please call Anita and have her put your name on our list.
Have a great Halloween
Your Exalted Ruler, Jeff Fasnacht

Membership Recruitment

The October issue of the Elks Magazine is an ideal way to encourage your friends and business associates to join the Elks. Most of you understand the Elks Cancer Fund and its importance in finding cures for Cancer. We all know this; but it’s sometimes difficult for us to articulate. The facts are all there; and it’s presented in a way that’s easy to understand. Make some copies of the article and ask your friends to read it.

Also, don’t leave it at that. Remember to follow up and ask them to join. Also, remember to pick up a couple of applications from the bar so that you will be prepared to “Write the order”. Ask them for a ten dollar down payment on their initiation fee.

Also this same issue contains a nice travel article on Brown County if you need something else to close the deal

Dues are Past Due
Are your dues current. Check your card to be sure. If you are one of the few that have forgotten to pay your dues, please get them in right away.
