Press Release-Pierre Elks Lodge 2020 Stocking Stuffer Program for Veterans
Perhaps Dr. Seuss said it best when he said, “It’s not about what it is, it’s about what it can become.”
What it has become highlights what Pierre Elks Lodge 1953 and our partners in our communities have created with our veterans holiday project for our heroes in Hot Springs. Not only have our hearts grown three sizes, but so has the abundance of gifting that is done.
The holidays are the favorite time of the year for most people, and veterans are no different. It is important that we not allow the COVID Grinch to steal our heroes holidays this year. Cash donations can be sent to Pierre Elks Lodge 1953, PO Box 292, Pierre, SD 57501.
Numerous partners throughout our communities have agreed to host collection boxes in their locations again this year and we thank them for their support. Collection boxes were placed out in the community November 13 and will be there until Friday, December 11. Gifts will be delivered to our heroes on Monday, December 14.
The Pierre Elks Lodge will not forget about these heroes when they need us most. We will not let the COVID Grinch steal their Christmas
