2013 MVS Top Winners

Enthralled with computer science from an early age, Anish Athalye, sponsored by Worcester, Mass., Lodge No. 243, is now headed to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to pursue his passion. Grace Young’s intelligence, coupled with her love of community service, earned her one of the 2013 Elks Most Valuable Student scholarship top scholarships in the amount of $60,000. Sponsored by Hoboken, N.J., Lodge No. 74, Grace will take her intellect and passion for service with her to Harvard this fall where she plans to study cellular and molecular biology. In 2013-14, the Elks National Foundation allocated $2.44 million to fund 500 four-year Most Valuable Student Scholarships, which now feature 20 top awards of at least $20,000.
